Stock the Library Invitations
We get quite a few requests for this invitation and we have seen quite the different wording choices asking invited guests to bring a book to add the Baby’s library. Here are some wording examples we have been asked to use:
Just one last request, and we hope it’s not hard,
Please bring baby a book in place of a card.
By signing your book we will remember and share
Your special gift, even when you’re not there.
…………………………..
It’s opening night for baby Harris.
Come join us in celebrating his young life
by helping to stock his bookshelves.
Let’s fill his shelves with children’s’ books from your favorite author
and come welcome Ashley’s latest addition.
…………………………..
As Ashley’s due date is coming near,
We’re inviting friends and family dear.
To choose a favorite story or fairy tale
That you would like Baby Harris to hear.
Instead of a card, please let Ashley look,
At your special choice of a book,
and then to Baby Harris she will read
With all the love a newborn will need.
So with a personal touch, please choose a book
And in it then your name do put.
It need not cost more than a card
Just pick a favorite, it shouldn’t be hard.
…………………………..
I want to be a bright child
As smart as I can be.
That is why I’m hoping
My mom will read to me.
If you plan to bring a card
Please take another look,
I would like to learn my ABC’s
From your favorite storybook.
Please sign your name
As your personal touch.
Baby Harris thanks you
very, very much.
Or, replace the last paragraph with the following:
Please add your name and a note
So that I’ll know where to start.
Thanking all that celebrated me
From the bottom of my heart.
…………………………..
Although cards are nice
They’re read once or twice
Maybe three or four times at best
A book is a treasure
Forever and Forever
So instead of a card
To be put aside
Please give the little baby
A book with your name inside
It will be read to our little tyke
Before bed each night
And we will thank you
Forever and forever!
…………………………..
A card is nice, its sentiment sweet,
But a book will keep baby on her feet.
For years to come, baby will read
Longing for stories will never be a need.
A shelf full of wisdom for all to give,
For baby to keep as long as she shall live.
Filling the shelf should not be hard,
If you would please sign a book instead of a card.
…………………………..
Although cards are nice,
with their sentiment and prayer,
they’re read once or twice,
then tucked away with care.
A book is a treasure,
with words and pictures that unite,
to read over and over,
night after night.
So instead of a card,
to baby and mother,
please give a book,
with your thoughts in the cover.
Your book will be cherished,
God will watch from above,
when we read we’ll remember,
your kindness and love.
Since the original design was created, I have been asked to modify the original pink design into a variety of different colors and also for twins! We have lilac/purple, chocolate brown, green, and blue.
{This lovely Story Book invitation was inspired by a magazine feature Kelly pulled out of Martha Stewart magazine. The original, hand drawn piece was created by Rifle Paper Company (and is free to download!).}
Abby Cadabby Birthday Invitation
I never realized the plethora of requests I would get. I am learning about Monster High, Abby Cadabby, Angry Birds and a whole lot of other birthday themes from my super chic clients. These Abby Cadabby birthday invitations were designed for sweet C.C. – I was having so much fun I couldn’t stop at just one.
We have Abby Cadabby with 2 different Abby Cadabby’s, the signature Sesame Street sign, and polka dots in pinks and purple.
We also have Abby with fairy dust as a background since she’s just coming from (or on her way to) Flying Fairly School.
And lastly, we have a pink starburst Abby Cadabby invitation with room for a photo.
LSU Geaux Tigers! Monogram iPhone cases
This one has been a hot seller lately! It was originally a custom order for a client and who knew it would be such a hot-ticket item? Been working with a few gentlemen who are buying for their little girls (not so little anymore) in college. Makes me smile so so big when I get one of these orders from a dad buying for his daughter. I have to concur, these custom LSU Gueax Tigers! monogrammed iPhone cases (in LSU colors purple and gold) certainly do make great gifts!
Just one more hot dog in the pot.
I have a sweet sweet friend who has 4 kiddos. I have no idea how she does it, so I asked her. Her reply, after the 2nd, “it’s just one more hot dog in the pot”. Easy peasy.
I tease her to no end about that. So when we found out we we’re expecting #3 (you couldn’t possibly be as surprised as we were!) and panic set in, I immediately thought of what she said. It helped settle my nerves, that is, until the morning sickness kicked in and unsettled my tummy. Looks like the toilet and I are gonna get real close these next few weeks. But yay for Fall babies!!!
